Joining the Fray

I have thought often and hard about starting a blog. While I love to read other "mommy blogs" and updates from friends and family, I have found myself doubting in my abilities to create a blog worth reading.

A friend recently posted about her desires for her blog and how she often found herself not posting because she was afraid of imperfections and holding herself to a standard set by reading other blogs. While reading I realized that these same reasons were preventing me from even starting a blog! I want my blog to look perfect, read perfect and be perfect. And now I realize how silly that is. If I am waiting for myself to become this "perfection" worthy of the blog world, I would never have a blog at all.

So here it is, my blog. I hope this to be a place where I can share family events and pictures, thoughts and stories, and just "tidbits" of life in the Nicklas Household. I promise to write honestly, openly, and to try to update often, whether it's perfect or not, and whether I have pictures or not.

Will you pray for me as I join this journey, and keep me honest when you don't hear from me in a while? I hope you'll stick around for a while, and I hope to keep this going from here on out!
